One of a series of 9 tapestries by Han Vermeyen.
It depicts the god of seasons (Vertumnus) disguised as a gardener, who is in love with Pomona (the goddess of Fruit), trying to trick her.
The original is in Lisbon, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum.
All our tapestries are woven in Flanders, on Jacquard Looms using high quality materials, and are lined with cotton on the back, with a tunnel for easy hanging (see our Hanging Rods section). Click here for more information about the tapestries.
